Salman Bhai is back with his latest entry into the YRF Spy Universe, and this time the public opinion isn’t as favorable as the star would have hoped. While Tiger 3 is in no way a good film and justifiable for its massive budget, it is also not a flop. Released on the day of Diwali, the action-thriller film continues to earn a respectable amount at the box office. This weekend we saw a massive drop in its earnings but that was the effect of the Cricket World Cup’s Final Match.

Tiger 3 revolves around the titular hero and his family as his son is threatened by a new foe from Zoya’s (Katrina Kaif) past. Played by Emraan Hashmi the new villain named Aatish Rehman kidnaps Tiger’s son and blackmails him into stealing some launch codes. This turns him into a traitor and when he is caught by the Pakistani authorities he gets a death sentence but it turns out that Aatish was planning a coup and Tiger thwarts his plans, through some lazily choreographed action sequences. Our hero gets a happy ending.

The YRF film also consists of a cameo from Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathan which turned a massive profit at the box office earlier this year and it also has a post-credit scene teasing Hritikh Roshan‘s next outing War 2. So, the film had no shortage of hype when it came to the star power of the film. But it squandered SRK’s cameo by doing the same thing they did in Pathan, and they also didn’t show any kind of creativity when it came to Roshan’s post-credit scene either.

I can bi**h about the film all day long but by no means it is a flop at the box office. The film entered into the 200 cr. club in its first week of release and to date it has earned over 376+ cr. worldwide. While the Cricket World Cup did massively affect its numbers it is not an indication of Tiger 3’s earnings slowing down at the moment.
