Permanent Roommates Season 3 Review (A Joyful Season of Not TV)
CinemaBlind’s Permanent Roommates Season 3 Review – 90%
TVF is finally back with a new season of our favorite web series couple Mickey and Tanu in Permanent Roommates Season 3. This is going to be a spoiler-free review for the new season that just dropped on Prime Video today. In this article, I will talk about the things that I liked and disliked in this new and lovable season of Permanent Roommates.
Permanent Roommates Season 3 follows Mickey and Tanu as they lead a happy enough life, but soon Tanu realizes that she is stuck in her professional and personal life, which becomes the reason for her to move abroad. Mickey is not happy with the decision and while he doesn’t love the idea of leaving the country initially he just says but as their plans move forward he says no to leaving India. This is followed up by a big row between the couple and some of the most emotional moments you will ever see put up on screen.
The new season of the TVF series was developed by Shreyansh Pandey, and the series was created by Arunabh Kumar. I have to congratulate both of the creators for making a wonderful season of television and while I did come across a few scenes that were not my favorite, overall they did a wonderful job of making us feel the love and care they put in, in all of the characters of the series.
Season 3 sees the return of Sumeet Vyas and Nidhi Singh in the lead roles of Mickey and Tanu. By this time both of these actors have figured out what makes the people love their character so much and they are doing that thing perfectly in this new season. While both of them did a wonderful job, Vyas was the clear standout of the season because of a certain scene that will make you cry.
We also see the return of Deepak Kumar Mishra as Purushottam, Sishir Sharma as Brijmohan Nagpal (Tanu’s father), Sheeba Chaddha as Lata Chaudhary (Mickey’s mother), Ayesha Raza as Ila, and Anandeshwar Dwivedi as Lleo. The returning cast has done a phenomenal job at playing their parts perfectly and the new additions to the cast which includes Ambrish Verma also did a commendable job.
Season 3 of Permanent Roommates takes a bit of time to slip into its old charm but as soon as it gets going, the joy of watching this couple bicker and love each other comes back in an instant. If you think you cried in the finale of Season 2 don’t worry this new season has an even bigger surprise for you. While I do love the new season, I also feel that there was no perfect ending for the series than it had in the final moments of the second season but I also felt like that during Season 1.
So, in the end, TVF has done it again with the third season of Permanent Roommates. The new season made me laugh with its hilarious characters, made me believe in the love the characters have for each other, and finally, it also moved me to tears. So, for me, Permanent Roommates Season 3 is a must-watch on Prime Video.
