Created by Sumit Roy, the Disney+ Hotstar titled Showtime is a behind-the-scenes look at the film industry starring Emraan Hashmi and Mahima Makwana in the lead roles of Raghav Khanna and Mahika Nandy with Naseeruddin Shah as Viktor Khanna, Mouni Roy as Yasmine Ali, Shriya Saran as Mandira Singh, Vishal Vashishtha as Prithvi, Vijay Raaz as Saajan, Denzil Smith as Deven, and Neeraj Madhav as Satya Krishnan starring in supporting roles.
Showtime takes us into the messed up and overly glamorized world of Bollywood in which we follow the story of a succession battle of a huge production house between a money-hungry producer and an ideological film critic turned film producer. While the succession battle rages on we see a film production struggling with egotistical actors and off-camera fights.
Mouni Roy stars in the role of Yasmine Ali, an established actor who is often typecast into item numbers as she tries to get a substantive role. Yasmine is in a long-term relationship with Raghav Khanna (Emraan Hashmi), but because of the succession battle, their relationship is going through a rough time until a sudden surprise which tears their whole world apart.
