Stree, aka Maddock Supernatural Universe, has quickly found fame like no other Universe in India with its brilliant horror comedies like Stree and Munjya; it has both the love of the audience and profitability without spending anywhere near the amount YRF Spy Universe requires. Now that Munjya has done its magic on the people and the box office, people are even more excited for the upcoming Stree sequel, in which we will continue the main story of the universe. So, before Stree 2 comes out, we are here to tell you about all of the movies in Stree Universe, from worst to best.

4. Roohi (Netflix)

Roohi is the second instalment in Stree, aka Maddock Supernatural Universe, and like all of the other Maddock films, it is also a horror-comedy. Directed by Hardik Mehta from a screenplay by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Gautam Mehra, the 2021 film follows the story of two small-time goons, Bhawra and Kattanni, who kidnap a young woman named Roohi, on the orders of Gunjya Bhai but things take a horrific and wildly hilarious turn when they discover that Roohi has been possessed by a demon. Roohi stars Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma in the lead roles, with Aamna Sharif, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Ronit Roy, Seema Pahwa, Arjun Mathur, Sarita Joshi, and Manav Vij starring in supporting roles.

3. Bhediya (JioCinema)

Bhediya is the most expensive film in the Stree Universe, with a budget of Rs 60 cr. Directed by Amar Kaushik from a screenplay by Niren Bhatt, the supernatural horror-comedy film follows the story of Bhaskar Sharma, who travels to a small town in Arunachal Pradesh with his cousin for a road-building project. When he gets there, he gets attacked by a wolf, granting him the powers of a werewolf. Bhediya stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role with Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Paalin Kabak, Deepak Dobriyal, Aparshakti Khurana, Sharad Kelkar, and Saurabh Shukla starring in supporting roles.

2. Munjya (Coming Soon to Disney+ Hotstar)

Munjya is the latest and the second most profitable film in the Stree Universe. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar from a screenplay by Niren Bhatt, the 2024 film follows the story of Bittu, a young who visits his village where he comes across a host of deeply buried family secrets, one of which is a vengeful spirit called the Munjya. Now, Bittu must do everything to protect his family and the one he loves from Munjya. Munjya stars Abhay Verma in the lead role, with Sharvari, Mona Singh, Bhagyashree Limaye, Sathyaraj, and Suhas Joshi starring in supporting roles.

1. Stree (Disney+ Hotstar)

Now, it’s time for the film that started it all. Stree is a romantic horror-comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik from a screenplay by Raj & D.K. The 2018 film follows the story of Vicky and his friends as they set out to reveal the truth behind the myth of Stree, an unusual phenomenon happening in the village of Chanderi. Stree stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, with Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Raaz, Aakash Dabhade, and Atul Srivastava starring in supporting roles.
